ABOUT ROCCO

Two key sparks ignited Silent Rocco’s journey: performing as a robot in his older brother’s breakdance group from around age 5, and watching Canadian mime Michel Courtemanche’s brilliant sketches on German prime-time TV in the 90s. Inspired, Rocco created his first short mime act at 14 for a school talent show - and won. The path was set.

Mostly self-taught, he eventually studied mime professionally at Die Etage in Berlin and through masterclasses at Berlin’s Mimecentrum.

As a solo artist and in various ensembles, he has performed at countless theatre and mime festivals worldwide, including Mimame in Colombia, Pantomime Bangkok in Thailand, Festival PAN in Slovakia, and the International Clown Mime Festival in Korea.

In recent years, Rocco has elevated illusionary mime as a prominent art form, integrating it into long-running variety show productions in Germany alongside other circus disciplines.

He successfully performed on various TV shows like Das Supertalent in Germany, iUmor Romania, and Italia’s Got Talent. Additionally, his mime shorts have reached millions on social media.

Silent Rocco’s current projects include his first solo show, Untold Stories, as well as a mixed circus show, where he serves as the nonverbal host.
